We are pleased to share that Moneyfields Women First Team Manager, Karl Watson, has been nominated for FA Women’s National League (FA WNL) Manager of the Month in January.
This is the second time this season that the division has recognised Watson and it comes after an impressive month which saw Moneyfields Women pick up two wins from two matches, scoring eight and conceding a single goal.
Watson’s side finished the month top of the division, the first time since the team’s promotion.
Moneys began the month with a 4-0 victory against Keynsham Town between what was then third against fourth. Shannon Albuery scored her third hat-trick of the season, while Lucy Cooper scored her first league goal for the club since moving from AFC Bournemouth.
Bristol Rovers arrived in the final match of the month but it was Moneys who secured the three points with a dominant display and a 4-1 win. Kiera Heslam scoring on her return from a long injury lay off. Beth Burgess, Lucy Cooper and Skye-Louise Granger rounding off the win.
Watson has been nominated alongside Baxter Charles (Loughborough Lightning),
Andy Cook (Norwich City) and Jesus Cordon (Worthing).
