Moneyfields Women have today learnt the set-up of next season’s FA Women’s National League Division One South West. AFC Bournemouth were promoted as league champions while Southampton Women were relegated. While Portishead Town finished in the relegation places, restructuring across the divisions has granted them a reprieve, meaning they will retain their place in Division One South West for the 2025 season.
Joining the league are two new clubs: Ascot United, who enjoyed a stellar season winning both the Southern Region Women’s Football League and the League Cup, and Marine Academy Plymouth, champions of the South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division. Marine were particularly impressive, conceding just 12 goals en route to the title.
Moneyfields Women’s First Team Manager, Karl Watson, commented, “There were no surprises in this line-up. It’s a competitive division where, on their day, any team can take points off another. This season looks set to be one of the most fiercely contested yet.”
