Gates made 45 appearances last season across all competitions, quickly becoming a key figure for the Anvils with his work rate, tenacity, and eye for a forward pass.

The 22-year-old adds further dynamism and consistency to the Moneys midfield, having previously also spent time with Lingfield earlier in his career.

New Moneys manager Callum Glen, spotted Gates when scouting future opposition last season whilst at with Petersfield. “In a 4-1 loss, Louis Gates was the star man for me,” said Glen.

Speaking after joining the club, to describe a perfect midfielder, Gates said, “you need to be Aggressive, calm and strong.”

Gates becomes the latest addition to Callum Glen’s squad at Dover Road, as preparations for the 2025/26 season continue.
