Karl Watson’s side swoop Tierney Scott for the 2025/26 campaign, after the attacker impressed since arriving in the squad back in June.
Moneyfields FC Women are delighted to confirm the signing of German-born forward Tierney Scott ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Scott began training with Karl Watson’s squad early in pre-season, after she left fellow FAWNL South-West side Worthing FC Women last campaign.
Tierney bagged 22 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Rebels last season, including a hat-trick against Moneys in September 2024.
Born in Germany, Scott began her career at Reading Academy before jumping up to Jay Sadler’s Portsmouth as an 18-year-old back in July 2022.
Before singing for Worthing permanently last season, she played at Woodside Road on loan in 23/24, where she made 8 appearances, whilst also being part of Pompey’s historic promotion to the Championship (now known as the WSL2).
Thankfully, there were already a few familiar faces for Scott to help integrate her into the team, with new signings Hannah Haughton and Ali Hall also being part of Pompey’s promotion a year ago.
Speaking on her move, first-team manager Karl Watson says: “Tierney has been with the group for a number of weeks now and has really grown into this squad.
She has worked hard and shown a hunger to join the club. There’s still work to do, but her determination has been evident.
I’ve known Tierney since she was in my youth set up at Portsmouth before heading to Reading. There’s a lot of talent there, so we’re pleased to add her to our attacking options.”
In her interview with MoneysTV, Scott believes: “It feels really good to be here after training with the squad for a few weeks now.
The one thing fans can expect from me is goals. I love scoring goals, aiming as high as I can. Last season I got a good amount, but I’m always aiming higher.”
When asked about how ex-Pompey teammates and summer signings Hannah Haughton and Ali Hall have helped settle her in, Tierney says: “Really good, playing with them previously, it gives me confidence coming here, knowing how they played and their quality players, and they have helped me settle in.”
Scott ended with: “I’ve played on the pitch (at the John Jenkins before), I can’t wait, I’m really excited for Sunday.”
