Cain and Franklyn have played together for a long time, even alongside now Moneys Manager, Callum Glen whilst all at United Services Portsmouth. Both players arrived from USP in 2021 and haven’t looked back.
Both players were pivotal in the promotion and league winning campaign of the Wessex Premier, under Glenn Turnbull in 2023/24.
They both stayed on to have fantastic seasons again as Moneys returned to Step 4 last season, taking the Dover Road team to within touching distance of the promotion play-offs. That individual success was recognised as Cain was selected as Managers Player of the Season, and Franklyn was recognised by his peers as Players’ Player of the Season.
After the two nil away win at Southall, Moneys Manager Callum Glen speaking about Caino said,
“It was an easy decision, the leader in the dressing room, Caino sets the standards on and off the pitch.”
On Franko, Cal said,
“He probably covers more ground than almost anyone, in any other team in this league. It’s infectious, and I’m delighted to have them two leading.”
