After a busy opening week of the season, Moneyfields Women are back on the road this Sunday to face Ascot United for the second time in less than seven days.

The two sides last met in the FA Women’s National League Cup, Group E, where they battled to an entertaining 0-0 draw. Moneyfields enjoyed the better of the chances and possession, but United also carved out opportunities—particularly during a spell of first-half pressure where they might feel they could have gone in front.

Elsewhere in the group, AFC Bournemouth made the perfect start with a 3-0 win over their local rivals, giving the Cherries the early advantage after matchday one.

In league action, Moneys began their FA WNL campaign in style with a 3-1 victory over Bridgwater United. A brace from Megan Fox and a second-half penalty from Shannon Albuery secured all three points for Karl Watson’s side.

Ascot, meanwhile, suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers, with Maisy Collis’ 74th-minute strike proving decisive.
