Despite a strong performance in the opening stages, Fulham went into the break one-up with a goal in first half added time. They continued their ruthlessness in the second, scoring two early goals. Moneys were unable to get a foothold in the second half and the hosts clinched the victory with a fourth late on.
Karl Watson made four changes to the side that defeated Bournemouth Sports last weekend, with captain Ali Hall, Shannon Albuery, Meg Fox, and Beth Burgess all returning to the starting XI.
Moneys started the game on the front foot, and controlled the opening twenty minutes, dominating the Fulham half.
Tierney Scott came narrowly close to opening the score, but the forward’s effort at goal was pushed onto the bar by Jaqueline Goldsmid in the Fulham net and out for a corner.
However, from that point on, the Whites eased their way into the game, with Mia King being tested multiple times the remainder of the half.
Eventually, Steve Jaye’s side found a breakthrough when an unmarked Kayleigh Stead connected with Jade Bradley’s corner to make it one-nil just moments before the half-time whistle.
Watson then made one change at the interval, as defender Amber Howden was replaced by Sophie Phelps ahead of the second 45.
Fulham did not take long to double their lead after the break, and they did so just five minutes into the half, when Madi Parsonson finished off Katie Dungate’s cross to make it two-nil.
Dungate then added a goal to her earlier assist, when she sliced the ball past King to make it three-nil and a third goal in under ten minutes.
Substitute Saha Adamson then made it four-nil with just three minutes of normal time remaining, when she placed the ball home, off the back of fellow sub Naomi Bradley’s pass, who put the ball on a plate to Adamson.
