Moneys Women’s reward for overcoming a youthful and talented Bristol City U21 side in the PGA is a trip to league rivals Maidenhead United in the second round of the FA Women’s National League Plate.
After conceding in just the fifth minute, Karl Watson’s side showed great resilience to turn the game around, with two goals in as many minutes from captain Ali Hall and Player of the Match, Tierney Scott. Hall added her second shortly after half-time, before Britt Jeal sealed the victory early in the second half.
Maidenhead United will be familiar opposition, having recently recorded a 3–0 win over Moneys Women at the John Jenkins Stadium.
The tie will be played on November 9th, marking the start of a challenging three-week spell on the road, which also includes trips to promotion rivals Bristol Rovers (November 16th) and Swindon Town (November 30th).
