Moneys:
A first win in 3 games will undoubtedly be the target for Callum Glen and his side on Saturday, as they host South Park Reigate at the John Jenkins on Saturday afternoon. Back to back defeats for the first time in the league this season, have put what is hoped to be a temporary holt to the momentum Moneys had built as they rocketed up the league with the undefeated October.

Last Saturday’s trip to Ascot United will have undoubtedly hurt on the day, but in reflection, there was plenty of possession and plenty of chances created by Moneys, so it definitely feels like progress from early in the season when in some games, chances were few and far between. The match at Ascot Racecourse saw the return from hopefully short-term injuries of James Franklyn and Simba Mlambo, which will no doubt have been a boost to the squad with their experience and positive impact in attack.

Ascot took the lead last weekend, but Tom Jeffes popped up with a fantastic glance of the ball of a Faris corner to see Moneys level for half time. In the second half, Moneys had one chance cleared quite literally off the line and another ruled out for offside when Rudi had put the ball into the net, but was judged to have just strayed offside.

Moneys sit 5th in the Isthmian League South Central Division table, on 27 points, just inside the play-off places. The highest Moneys could reach with 3 points and results in our favour, would be 3rd in the table. The lowest Moneys could fall to is 7th, if South Park were to beat us, and if Hayes & Yeading get the better of Littlehampton Town.

South Park Reigate:
South Park Football Club was formed in 1897 and immediately became founder members of the Redhill & District Football League. The club remain members of the league today.

2001 saw Reigate Town Football Club move to South Park and the club became known as South Park & Reigate Town Football Club. Their nickname is ‘the Sparks’

2024/25 was a disappointing campaign for the most part with many of the players moving on. Former Manager Tom Cope moved into the role of Youth Section Chairman and Rob Kember, formerly of Chipstead, became SPR’s Manager.

The 2025/26 season has been a bit of a yo-yo start for South Park. Their first 6 games alternated win-loss, win-loss, win-loss. That 6th game loss, was the beginning of 4 straight losses for ‘the Sparks’ as they suffered defeats so far this season on the road to Leatherhead, Westfield and Ascot United.

Form turned around come mid-October though, as on the 14th they beat Littlehampton Town which was the first of 4 straight wins. They went on to beat the Met Police, Bedfont Sports and Raynes Park Vale.

They currently sit just 3 points behind Moneys in 8th position, but have played a game more than Moneys. They have a goal difference 5 worse than Moneys, so a 0-3 win for South Park would see them leap-frog us.

Previous Meetings:
Last season saw the first and only meetings between the two clubs as both teams won their respective home fixtures.

In October, South Park hosted Moneys and won 2-1. South Park took the lead by a Scott Hills penalty had Moneys level at half time. A 92nd minute winner got the 3 points for SPR.

The reverse fixture was only a few week later as Moneys won 2-0 at the John Jenkins. Jack Lee and Cal Laycock with the goals.

Ones to Watch:
Shamal Edwards: Undoubtedly the main man to watch for South Park with the former Farnham Town forward getting 10 goals to his name so far this season, including 8 in the league.

Craig Mcgee: Club Captain supreme, he was actually their top scorer last season with 7 goals. No goals yet this season, but bound to be itching to start contributing after his haul last season.

Aidan Brown: Just two goals to his name this season so far, but the striker has a good goalscoring record. Brown is in his 3rd spell at South Park.
