This Sunday, Moneyfields Women return to action for the first time since lifting the PDFA Cup against AFC Portchester. We kick off our pre-season campaign with a trip to Princes Park — the same ground where we made history in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round against London City Lionesses. This time, we face Dartford FC Women in what promises to be an exciting early test.
Among our return squad, which includes Shannon Albuery and Maisie Aldridge, we welcome some new faces who will be hoping to make their Moneys debuts. Travelling with the squad are Hannah Haughton, Ali Hall and Rose Sitarz.
Our opponents come into the match on the back of a strong 2024/25 season, finishing runners-up to Fulham in the London & South East Regional Women’s (L&SERW) Premier Division. They were also runners-up in the Kent FA Cup Final, losing out 2-1 to Chatham Town. The Darts did lift silverware last season in the shape of the L&SERW Cup – they retained the trophy after Fulham pulled out of the final when it became apparent that they’d fielded ineligible players in the earlier rounds.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams, with Dartford looking to go one better than last season and finish top to secure promotion to the FA Women’s National League.
One to watch: There also might be one familiar face in the Dartford ranks, defender Megan McKeag, who made eleven appearances for Moneys between 2020-2022.
