Biography

Experienced goalkeeper Hannah Haughton joins Moneyfields from local rivals Portsmouth, where she spent over six and a half years at the club after competing in the Women’s Super League 2. During her time at Pompey, Haughton made 138 appearances and kept an impressive 61 clean sheets across all competitions.

A natural leader, she captained Portsmouth to the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title in the 2023–24 season and was awarded the Golden Glove in recognition of her consistently outstanding performances.

Beyond the traditional game, Haughton has also made her mark in beach soccer. She won a silver medal with Team GB at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha and played a key role in securing victory at the Euro Beach Soccer League in Portugal in 2021.

Asked what drew her to Karl Watson’s project at Moneyfields, Haughton said, “I’ll keep it simple—I like winning. Karl wants to win the league, and this club deserves to be in tier three. They’ve been pushing for it the last few seasons, and hopefully this year we can find that edge to get promoted.”
